Disclaimer

Effective date: 2026-07-14

THIS DISCLAIMER IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF YOUR AGREEMENT WITH CREDITRACCOON REGARDING CREDITRACCOON.COM AND THE SERVICE. IT SUPPLEMENTS THE TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY. CAPITALIZED TERMS NOT DEFINED HERE HAVE THE MEANINGS IN THE TERMS. BY USING THE SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THIS DISCLAIMER IN FULL.

1. No attorney-client or professional relationship

CreditRaccoon is a software product. Use of the Service, including reading guides, generating drafts, or chatting with AI features, does NOT create an attorney-client, counselor-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and CreditRaccoon, its owners, or its personnel.

Nothing on the Service is legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, credit counseling within the meaning of regulated nonprofit credit-counseling programs, or financial, investment, or debt-management advice. Laws vary by jurisdiction and facts. If you need advice, consult a licensed attorney or other qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

2. Self-directed tool only; you send everything

YOU are solely responsible for disputing, mailing, filing, uploading, emailing, calling, or otherwise communicating with credit bureaus, furnishers, creditors, collectors, regulators (including the CFPB), courts, and any other third parties.

CreditRaccoon helps you prepare editable DRAFTS and tracking records. We do not act as your agent, attorney-in-fact, or authorized representative with any consumer reporting agency or creditor. We do not submit disputes for you, auto-send letters, batch-file complaints, or contact third parties on your behalf.

3. No outcome, score, or removal guarantees

WE MAKE NO PROMISES OR GUARANTEES regarding credit scores, creditworthiness, approval odds, interest rates, removals, modifications, investigations, timelines, settlements, or any other result. Accurate negative information may remain on a consumer report for the time allowed by law even if you dispute it. Third parties (bureaus, furnishers, collectors, courts, regulators) make independent decisions outside our control.

Any examples, demos, marketing statements, or user stories are illustrative only and are not typical-result claims. Past or hypothetical outcomes do not predict your results.

4. Not a credit repair organization

CreditRaccoon is NOT a credit repair organization under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq.) or similar state statutes. We do not offer to improve your credit record, credit history, or credit rating for a fee by working with bureaus or creditors for you. Paid features, if any, are for software functionality (such as AI tools), not for credit-result promises or third-party representation.

If you are evaluating traditional "credit repair" companies, understand that those businesses are subject to distinct federal and state consumer protections. Our model is different: you remain in control of every draft and every submission.

5. FCRA, FDCPA, and identity-theft processes

Educational references to the FCRA, FDCPA, FTC identity-theft reports, CFPB complaints, or bureau fraud departments are general information only. They are not a complete statement of your rights or obligations, and they are not a recommendation to take any particular action. Deadlines and procedures can be fact-specific and time-sensitive. Missing a deadline or using an incorrect process can affect your options.

6. Draft letters and AI output may be wrong

Templates, AI rewrites, suggested letter types, flagged items, parsing results, and guidance text can contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable language for your situation. YOU MUST REVIEW AND EDIT EVERYTHING BEFORE USE. Relying on unedited output is at your sole risk.

Sending false, misleading, or frivolous statements to bureaus, creditors, or government agencies can have legal consequences. You are responsible for the truthfulness and legality of communications you send.

7. Report import and data accuracy

PDF parsing and data extraction are imperfect. Formats differ by bureau and over time. Always compare in-app data to your original report PDF. We are not liable for decisions you make based on incomplete or incorrectly extracted or displayed data.

8. Third-party sites, products, and providers

Links to AnnualCreditReport.com, bureau websites, payment processors, AI providers, and other third parties are provided for convenience. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or practices. Your relationships with those parties are governed by their terms and policies.

9. Assumption of risk

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU ASSUME ALL RISK ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE AND FROM ANY COMMUNICATIONS YOU SEND TO THIRD PARTIES USING MATERIALS PREPARED WITH THE SERVICE. THIS ASSUMPTION OF RISK IS IN ADDITION TO, AND DOES NOT LIMIT, THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY LIMITATIONS IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE.

10. No warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SEE THE TERMS OF SERVICE FOR THE FULL WARRANTY DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, WHICH APPLY TO THIS DISCLAIMER.

11. Updates

We may update this Disclaimer when we update related legal terms. Effective date / version: 2026-07-14. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer where permitted by law.
